Abundant Cu,Pb,Zn,Fe and Au minerals resources occurred in the Langshan metallogenic belt locate in the western part of the northern margin of the North China Platform.The Huogeqi deposit is the largest Cu polymetallic deposit of this metallogenic belt,systematic study had been done by the geologists form the day it was found.The author summarized previous work,found that the application of fractal theory in the metal grade analysis was less than other research,so put forward this thesis.Fractal theory has achieved great success since it was introduced into the earth science in the seventies of last century.It can reveal the intrinsic rule of geological system bypassing the messy,irregular geological phenomena from partial to whole,from limited to unlimited.In this paper,the deposit's Cu,Pb,Zn grade data are analysed by means of mathematical statistics principles and fractal theory,then interpreted combined with the actual geological conditions.Based on taking a lot of field work,collecting various kinds of(drilling,middle,lithology)Cu,Pb,Zn grade data 25597,by drawing out 7 frequency distribution histograms,65 grade-dimensional structure diagrams,8 contour maps,10 muti-fractal curves,some conclusions are drawn as follows:?Huogeqi orefield has many orebodies,such as Cu ?,Cu ?,Pb-1,Pb-3 and Pb-1 East,etc,it can be divided into three metallogenic stages:effusive-sedimentary mineralization,tectonic alteration mineralization and hydro-thermal contact aleeration mineralization.?The frequency distribution histograms of Cu,Pb,Zn grade data show that it is suitable for the application of fractal theory to study the grades' spatial distribution characteristics because they take on exponential tailed distribution.?The Cu grade data is fitted in three straight lines,indicating that they have experienced three mineralization stages while the Pb and Zn grade data are fitted in two straight lines,they are consistent with superimposed genesis of the deposit.?After careful studies,we find that the average grade and thickness values are closely related to fractal dimension D.The banded quartzite and silica quartz are the main copper-carrying rocks which maybe thick in the deep line 5?line 9 and the west line-3;the diopside tremolite is the main lead-carrying rock which maybe thick in the deep line 5?line 9;the carbonaceous slate is the main znic-carrying rock which maybe thick in the deep line 5?line 7.?Multifractal analysis can indicate the spatial variation rule of grades,the study find that the Cu grade distribution uniformity degree of line 7 is higher than line 1 and line 9 which indicating that it is appropriate to increase the amount of exploration work to control orebody in the deep line 9.
