LncRNA(short for Long Non-coding RNA),is a fragment of non-encoding protein RNA with more than 200 bp in length, the research on which is still not very much at present. Therefore, more discoveries of new LncRNAs and the illumination of their regulation functions have become one of the hotspots of bioscience research. In this research,by using T-DNA insertion method,we screened out an arabidopsis mutant with both monocot phenotype and phenotype of delaying in flowering.?TAIL-PCR verified T-DNA fragment is inserted in the non-coding region between the genes of HMGl(atlg76490)and SOB3(atlg76500).Then a homozygous mutant was screened out and testified by using "TP-PCR".And further research showed that the insertion of T-DNA has no influence on the expression of genes upstream and downstream by semiquantitative RT-PCR and to be a fragment of non-coding RNA and we named it EMR lncRNA(Endogen Mutations Related Long Non coding RNA).Function complementary experiments proved that the appearance of the mutant with both monocot phenotype and phenotype of delaying in flowering were caused by the ceasing of EMR lncRNA's transcription.According to the results, lncRNA may be involved in regulating plant development, which is of great significance in promoting plant psychological research.
