With the development of industrial and mining enterprises as well as the improvement of people's life level and health consciousness since 1980s,Ruichang city has gradually formed an area which mainly depends on groundwater supply,which is also the only city depends on groundwater exploitation of Jiujiang area,Jiangxi Province.Yangliuhu area located in suburbs of Ruichang city,is the main water source of groundwater supply for Ruichang.With the development of economy and water demands,groundwater exploitation increase gradually and almost close to the allowable excavation.The earthquake with MS 5.7 occurred on November 26th,2005 in Ruichang between Jiujiang,appeared multiple ground subsidence,part of the groundwater was turbidity and cannot be employed anymore.Therefore,the city water supply is getting more nervous.In the past,it has only done partial hydrogeologywork in Yangliuhu area about the factory,mining,urban and rural water supply,because of the subject to the precincts,the drilling position and experimental conditions etc,This study focused on groundwater formation,occurrence regularity of karst groundwater resources,protection of groundwater resources under exploitation and comprehensive utilization and managementof water resources.It can provide the basis and theoretical support for the future sustainable development and utilization of water resource.Through collectedand comprehensive analysis geology,hydrogeology work in Yangliuhu area,we would have a comprehensive understanding about lithology,structure,distribution of aquifer.Study area belongs to eastern groundwater runoff area of Wushijie-Saihu Syncline core storage structure.The syncline from west of Ruichang city to the east,and go through Wushijie.Saihu to Chengmenshan,the Yangtze river area,sync line axis to the two wings composed of Triassic,carboniferous limestone,groundwater runoff from west to east.The groundwater resources exploitation main object for the holocene alluvial sand gravel pore aquifer and the Jialingiang,Daye limestone karst fissure water group in Yangliuhuarea.Main recharge source of groundwater is vertical infiltration rechargefrom RuichangRiver.According to the hydrogeological conditions of study area,it can be divided into three mining sections:Luohu section,Saihu section,Yangliuhu section,it is calculation and assessment using the average distribution well spacingmethod,water equilibrium,the sustainable yieldof karst wateris 6.46 x 104 m3/d in this area,of medium scale water supply.Based on the existing groundwater development condition assessment of future development and utilization of groundwater in the study area strategy,we find Luohu section production exceeds the maximum allowed production in the study area;Saihu,Yangliuhu section production is close to 90%of sustainable yield.Therefore,exploitation of the whole space is getting smaller.Karst groundwater development and utilization can through the following aspects strategy,to strengthen the management of water resources,ensuring sustainable development and utilization of karst water resources.First is Strict management of groundwater resources reserves,regularly patrol and supervision;Second is project of groundwater recharge and flow back,to supply enough supplies for karst water;Three is to strengthen the prevention and management of pollution source,pollution area in city and the surrounding;Four is the implementation of water saving engineering,in order that establishment of water-saving city;Five is to build a real-time dynamic monitoring of groundwater environment information system and the management decision system,improve the system of management of groundwater resources.And paid by water,legal supervision and management,public participation,everybody is responsible for it.
