Solid mineral resources are the lifeblood of the national economic development.With the development of large-scale prospecting work,prospecting becomes more and more difficult,and concealed ore deposit exploration has become the focus of the current prospecting work.Concealed ore deposit exploration research work couldn't depart from the support of software.The current 3D geological modeling software and the mineral resources prediction software emerge in endlessly at home and abroad,but the all-in-one software with 3D geological modeling and mineral resources prediction is still rare,which can realize the modeling and forecasting work at the same time to improve the work efficiency.Thus,research for a prediction system based on modeling software is of great significance.This subject based on the cooperative project “Evaluation on Liaoning mound area iron ore mineral resources reserves”,which hosted by Liaoning Non-ferrous Geological Survey and Information Geological Research Laboratory in Peking University.On the basis of analysis of the domestic and foreign research results and the 3D geological modeling software Creatar developed in the Information Geological Research Laboratory in Peking University,we researched and developed the mineral resources prediction system,which integrates the modeling prediction software.We mainly focused on the following several aspects of research work during the system development process:First,Research on the functions and effects of related software,mainly carried on the exploration and research on the current 3D geological modeling software and the mineral resources prediction software at home and abroad.Second,on the basis of the research on the function of relevant software at home and abroad,we combined with the needs of users,built the software architecture,designed research and development process for mineral resources prediction system.Third,software research and development of main function module design.(1)3D meshing.We designed and developed a new three dimensional voxel grid voxet,which can effectively support the grid computing of enormous data and provides an approach to geologic prospecting using the big data in future.(2)Voxelization of the triangulation geological model.Converting triangular mesh surface geological body model into the three-dimensional voxel grid,which effectively for the reasonable calculation on 3D voxel grid data.(3)Prediction method.We designed and developed the evidence power prediction method and information prediction method respectively.(5)Optimization in prospecting target areas.Based on grid unit posterior probability values or information for optimization of target value(6)automatically generation of the report predicting the target reserves(7)Visualization of 3D voxel grid model.This article applied mineral resources prediction system to the prediction research work of the Liaoning mound cast iron ore.We established a geological model using the Liaoning mound cast iron ore data,and transformed it into the 3D voxel grid to do the prediction work.We framed the prospecting area and analyses the evaluation of prediction.Results show that this system has its feasibility to undertake mineral prediction research.
