Economy globalization and integration of regional economy are the general trendin the process of economy development. In China, the Beibu Gulf of Guangxi is oneof the major industrial concentration areas whose economic development level is lagbehind when compared with the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta. Thecritical way to boost the whole competitiveness of the area is to accelerate theeconomic integration of Beibu Gulf of Guangxi, which will in turn to speed up theintegration and harmonious development of regional economy. With the aggravatedcompetition amongst the region, regional logistics' strategic role is highlighted, whichis an important factor of regional economy and has a great influence on thecompetitive power of supply chain system and it is a strategic measure for enhancingregional comprehensive competitive power. There are currently uncoordinatedregional logistics problems, such as weak cohesion, fragmented, different standardsand irrational investment and construction, etc., which cause a low logistics efficiencyand hinder the development of regional economy. Consequently, it is essential tocoordinate and optimize the regional logistics from the whole region aspect broadlyand globally.This study starts from the analysis of current status of logistics industry from theaspects of industrial distribution, traffic facilities, supply and demand of logistics, etc.The following research is to concentrate on the construction of DEA model (dataenvelopment analysis) with index system of regional logistics under the given datasample from the year2003to2011of Beibu Gulf of Guangxi. The model is to beutilized to compare the development of regional logistics of Beibu Gulf of Guangxiwith the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta, and the purpose is to find outthe disadvantage of the development of Beibu Gulf of Guangxi. On that basis, SDmodel (system dynamic) is to be established to make a simulation research of thedevelopment trend of the logistics industry from the span of the year2012to2020.The results produced from system dynamic are to be introduced to DEA model andmake analysis of relative efficiency. The slack variables of input indexes of relativeefficiency analysis are to be made a dynamic change to analyze the output indexesaccording to the change of input indexes. The changed indexes are to be analyzed toproduce groups of data of new relative efficiency by the repeated calculation of DEA.The satisfying outcome can be foreseen by several trials by changing the proportionof input indexes, which implies a relative effective development model of regional logistics of Beibu Gulf of Guangxi.This study shows that regional logistics can present a positive effect byenhancing the effective management and utilization of capital of investments inlogistics industry. According to the characteristics of Guangxi Beibu gulf logisticsindustry, the influence of the regional logistics development can be effectivelyenhanced through the use of the scientific development plan of logistics investment.Meanwhile, it is critical to choose a reasonable ratio of supply and demand forregional logistics which is in relation to investments and estimation of demand oflogistics of Beibu gulf of Guangxi. The appropriate ratio will benefit the developmentof the regional logistics and accord with the long-term development interests of theeconomy of Beibu Gulf of Guangxi.
