Research On The Influence Factors Of The Contractor's Perceived Justice In Construction Project And Its Promotion Strategy

Construction market is the typical buyer market in China.The owners worried about getting ripped off by the contractor which is advantages in information and professional after signing the contract.The perceived of unjust of the contractor,which caused by the employers writing a lot of shift of responsibility clauses in contract relied on its dominant,has influenced on cooperation.It is widely believed that the perceived justice of the contractor is vital for projects success.However,justice perception is regarded as a parameter in incentive model or as a single dimension concept of efficiency of specific economic activities in related engineering research,which is still based on economics perspective.Although cognition about the nature of engineering project transferred from temporary contract organization to social person in some research,and the research on perceived justice of the contractor influence on performance is popular with scholars based on Social Men,the research about how to improve perceived justice is sill in the initial stage.Therefore,influencing factors about perceived justice of the contractor is studied and the way of improve perceived justice of the contractor is proposed in this paper.It is include following aspects.(1)The concept model about perceived justice of the contractor in engineering project is established.The construct about perceived justice of the contractor is obtained by grounded theory.The contractor have expectations about transaction process and return according to the contract.And the degree of satisfaction about that exception depend on the result of social comparison.It is not only related to the clauses which is determined allocation and process in the contract,but also affected by market.Combined with the characteristics of the project,perceived justice of the contractor is divided into distributed justice and procedural justice according to the the division of rights in law.Substantive rights corresponding distributive justice,procedural rights corresponding procedural justice.(2)The influence factors of perceived justice of the contractor is identified and is studied through analyzing the clauses in the contract and the characteristics of the contractor.The first,the clauses which affect perceived justice of the contractor is extracted in the Code of Bills of Quantities and Valuation for Construction Works(2013)by use of content analysis.and factors set is obtained through induce those clauses,including 6 aspects,totally 15 items.Secondly,the influence factors about subject characteristics is verified,including the similar project which it has undertake,the similar project which it is undertaking,itself market position,other contractor which has undertake similar project,partner's reputation,the current market environment and cooperation experience.(3)The strategy to improve perceived justice of the contractor is put forward in the engineering project.Combined with practice in construction,two aspects of strategy is put forward based on influence factors set,including the clause of contract setting and characteristic of the contractor.It can provide reference in terms of administrative department in charge formulating market norms,employer designing the terms of the contract,contractor review to the contract.
