Quality Control And Improvements Of EPC Projects In Design Phase For Petrochemical Engineering

Petrochemical industry is the fundamental and pillar industry of our country which has long production line and extensive range.The output has a key role to the national economy and people's livelihood.The quality control of petrochemical industry is the foundation to ensure the sustainable development of enterprises,and to maintain the image of enterprise responsibility.The design quality control of petrochemical project is the first line of defense that directly affects the final quality of petrochemical project.However,at present,China has no mature management system for the design quality.In recent years,EPC management mode for a project has become more and more popular in domestic petrochemical industry constructions,which is quite effective in saving construction time and in lowering the project costs.Therefore,this paper will take the design quality of the petrochemical EPC project as the core,to explore the problems affecting factors and solutions of the design quality.Firstly,it is described that the key concepts of quality management and states recent research of design quality management,then combined with work experience and the investigation of owners,colleagues,and find out the problems of petrochemical project design quality: structure,equipment and materials,human error,communication.Secondly,take fishbone diagram as tool to analyze the factors that influence the quality of petrochemical EPC project,including the following five aspects: employee,design,management,materials,and communication.At last,in view of the problem and the reason analysis,this article has carried on the exploration to the solution,on the one hand,from three aspects of the management system,process specification and continuous improvement to control design quality;On the other hand,the dynamic control theory is used to improve the design quality of this EPC project,then combined with project problems,explored feasible solutions,and compared with other project design quality of the same type.It is verified the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
