In recent years,Internet consumer finance has been greatly developed in China.Combining the Internet technology and financial technology, this new kind of finance satisfies the needs of the majority of Chinese people with low income, and promotes the upgrading and development of the consumption. At the same time, this pure online mode poses a great challenge for the operation and management(especially, risk management)of the companies with Internet consumer finance services. From the viewpoint of a finance provider, the Internet consumer finance can be regarded as a credit risk management.I systematically analyze the data collection, product design, account maintenance and management, customer information management, credit scoring, and operating evaluation, etc.Using the user behavior data of consumer finance product Jingdong IOUs,I group the users into 20 groups, based on the different models or the ways of policy processing, and then investigate the users' performances during three stages: 1)from credit scoring to activation,2)from activation to usage, and 3)from usage to overdue. The conclusions are as follows: The IOUs activation rate and usage level are both positively correlated with the users' understanding of IOUs,and the most important popularization period is the first six months. The 30-day default rate of the free users is significantly higher than that of the selected users, implying that making user screening is a good way to accomplish the risk control. To control the ratio of default users, the fraud prevention system requires a periodical removal of the default users.
