The Study On China’s Wood Furniture Export Trade To France

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France,they have made remarkable achievements in economic cooperation including wood furniture trade.The European Union is an important export market for China’s wood furniture.The status of France in Chinese wood furniture export market is also rising up.However,with the continuous reduction of forest resources,the protection of the environment and resources is becoming more and more important over the world.The relevant provisions of laws and regulations among the EU make China’s wood furniture exports to France suffer increasing obstacles.Therefore,the study of China’s wood furniture exports to France is not only helpful to the bilateral trade,but also for China’s export to the EU or other international markets.Based on the theory of comparative advantage and the theory of resource endowment,this paper takes the wood furniture exported to China as the research object.Firstly,This paper studies the status of bilateral trade,wood furniture international trade status of French and China separately,the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the current situation and also export trade status of wood furniture from China to France,then summarizes some problems existing in the export trade.Secondly,this research summarizes the influence factors of wood furniture concluded by other scholors,studies Sino French export growth based on the CMS and also analyzes the comparative advantages of six kinds’ wood furniture export from China to France using RCA,then take the influence factors as variables for the multiple regression analysis,and through the regression of per capita GDP,per capita forest area,forest certification,exchange rate,per capita income of forestry and other factors.This paper conducted a mutiple regression analysis with the data during the period(2001-2015)to present the factors which have significant impact on China’s wood furniture exports,and uses the optimal equation to estimate the potential export trade.It is concluded that the export of wood furniture in China has great potential.Finally,according to all the result getting from above study,this paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures from three aspects of government,industry and enterprise.Firstly,the government needs to improve the Sino French economic cooperation、the per capita income and government supervision and management;secondly,the industry needs to promote the scale of production,which is conducive to improve the export competitiveness of enterprises;finally,the enterprises improve the comparative advantage from the aspects of talent,suggestions several aspects of brand awareness.
