Subcontracting management work normally throughout the whole implementation of project,which is very important to the success and profit of the project.Along with the large number of Chinese project enterprises opening the international vision and taking part in the worldwide project market,to participate in many highly competitive international projects,they need to improve their subcontracting management skills in order to develop the competitiveness due to their own management deficiencies.China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau,as an experienced large-scale international petroleum project enterprise,is developing new markets in Southeast Asia vigorously and urgent to enhance its skill in the subcontracting management,in order to enhance the comprehensive competitiveness and development in Southeast Asia.This paper takes the subcontracting management of Provincial Gas Transmission Pipeline Project to Nakhon Sawan as example,the typical case study,in-depth research,case analysis and exploratory research,connecting closely with the actual project were used,discovering and analyzing the problems in practice,considering and researching on these issues seriously,searching optimization and effective subcontracting management models,processes and methods to improve the overall management of the project.The actions have been taken had solved the difficulties,promoted the management level in many aspects and enhanced the profitability of this project.Finally,project team develops an appropriate systems and countermeasures for the project during the implementation,and takes necessary methods to execute the mentioned system,so that the problems can be solved,experiences can be summed up and measures can be developed in time.In one word,continuous improvement and improving of this subcontracting management models/methods mentioned in this paper will gradually increase the vitality and ability of China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau in Southeast Asia,and promote the healthy development of enterprises those who also can use and learn it in other projects.
