| Since the reform and opening up,the level and quality of urbanization in China have been steadily improved.New urbanization has made new progress.However,in the process of rapid urbanization development,resources such as waste of resources,environmental pollution,infrastructure,and basic public services have also accumulated.As well as many problems that cannot be ignored,such as the urban-rural dualistic structure,the existence of these problems means that the development of urbanization has unbalanced and inadequate development.The Party's "Nineteenth National Congress" clearly stated for the first time that the "Total Total Factor Productivity" argument was based on the view that raising total factor productivity was one of the main dynamics of China's successful transition through the economic transition period;at the same time,the "Nineteenth National Congress" clearly stated that " To promote the development of a new type of urbanization that requires the simultaneous development of new industrialization,informatization,urbanization,and agricultural modernization." It can be seen that the development of urbanization and the increase of total factor productivity,as well as the interactive and coordinated development between urbanization and total factor productivity,are of great significance for realizing the transition from high-speed growth to high-quality development.Based on this,based on the review of literature related to urbanization and total factor productivity,this paper analyzes the coupling and coordination mechanism between the level of urbanization and total factor productivity,and empirically analyzes the relationship between urbanization and total factor productivity in China in recentyears.The degree of coordination,excavation of urbanization and the overall improvement of the total factor productivity in the coordinated development of the problems,combined with the current economic reality and put forward the corresponding policy recommendations.The research content of the thesis mainly includes the following three parts: The first part,theoretical research.Based on a review of the existing literature,this paper analyzes the coupling and coordination mechanism between the level of urbanization and total factor productivity,and provides a basis for empirical research.the second part.Empirical Research.Firstly,the entropy method,the comprehensive evaluation method and the production function method are used to measure the development level of urbanization and total factor productivity.Secondly,the development status of the two is analyzed from the perspective of time and space,and finally the coupling degree model is used to couple the two.Coordinated degree of empirical research.The third part is the policy research.This paper proposes policy recommendations on the interactive and coordinated development of urbanization and total factor productivity from three aspects:(1)Construct a scientific and rational new urbanization system.Change the traditional extensive standards based on quantity as the primary measure,and formulate a planning system that is reasonable and effective,including urban and rural degraded social development planning,urban agglomeration development planning,community planning,land use planning,environmental protection planning,and management planning.On the basis of taking into account regional differences,the local governments should be given the right to urbanization policies in line with local conditions.(2)Rely on the drive of innovation to create a spatial layout of intensive and efficient new urbanization.The core points of the innovation-driven strategy in the process of achieving urbanization in all aspects include the innovation of talent introduction mechanism and the cultivation of strategic emerging industries,increase the investment in integrity,promote the establishment of a collaborative and efficient industrial cluster among provinces,and optimize the industrial layout.(3)Give play to the linkage effect among provinces and promote the full opening of the market among provinces.We should continue to increase the pace of building “urban agglomerations”and speed up the planning and construction of“central cities”to ensure that all regionscan have their own growth poles and promote the flow of production factors between provinces,thereby realizing regional development.The spatial layout of the "multi-growth pole" is to reduce the imbalance in regional development.The conclusions of the dissertation are as follows:(1)The degree of coupling and coordination between China's urbanization development level and total factor productivity is increasing,the overall system has a tendency of good development,and the coupling coordination relationship gradually changes from impending misalignment to primary coordination.The degree of coupling coordination decreases along the horizontal direction of the eastern,central,and western regions,and the eastern region transitions from an impending imbalance to an intermediate coordination stage.The central region transitioned from a minor misalignment phase to a primary coordination phase.The western region has transitioned from a slight misalignment phase to a barely coordinated phase.(2)From the perspective of spatial distribution characteristics,the share of the provinces in the declining interval of the 29 provinces in China from 2005 to 2015 gradually decreased to zero,and the number of provinces in the transition zone showed an inverted U-shaped trend,and the provinces were in a coordinated development interval.The proportion has gradually increased;and by 2015,65% of provinces and cities in China have completed the transitional period into the stage of coordinated development.Provinces that are unable to achieve coordinated development are mainly located in the western region,and only the three provinces of Chongqing,Sichuan,and Shaanxi enter the western region.Coordinate the development stage.(3)From the perspective of regional agglomeration,China has the spatial agglomeration effect of the province,which is embodied in the “ Matthew effect ” of high agglomeration and low-low
