The rapid development of social economy has led to the rapid growth of the hotel industry,and more investors enter the hotel industry,resulting in increasingly fierce competition in the hotel industry.In order to obtain long-term development and long-term competitive advantage,hotels need to work hard in many ways.Strengthening management is particularly important,especially cost management.Under this background,the limitations of traditional cost management are becoming increasingly prominent and can not meet the management needs of the hotel industry.As a means of cost management with the times,strategic cost management integrates the strategy of enterprise development on the basis of traditional cost management,and comprehensively considers various factors such as internal and external value chain,strategic positioning and strategic cost driver,so as to provide more reliable cost information for management and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.This paper first introduces the research background,purpose and significance,literature review,research ideas and research methods.Then,it expounds the relevant theories of strategic cost management,and analyzes the current situation,problems and causes of the current cost management of Y Hotel.Secondly,based on the sonk model,the strategic cost management system of Y Hotel is constructed from four aspects: strategic positioning,value chain,strategic cost driver and strategic performance evaluation.Thirdly,the implementation of strategic cost management safeguard measures is put forward from the aspects of talent team building,strategic cost management culture construction,organization construction and system construction.The main innovation of this paper is that the strategic cost management system of Y Hotel is constructed from four aspects of strategic positioning,value chain,strategic cost driver and performance evaluation on the basis of the sonk model,which enriches and broadens the research content and field of strategic cost management.The study found that the implementation of strategic cost management in Y Hotel has certain necessity and feasibility,and is a powerful weapon to acquire and maintain long-term competitive advantage.Y Hotel now has more opportunities than threats and advantages over disadvantages.The basic competition strategy should adopt the strategy of combining low cost strategy with differentiation strategy.Creating characteristic products or services is an important way for long-term development under precise positioning.To identify and integrate the strength of the value chain is the key to optimize the internal and external value chain,increase the value-added activities such as product development and catering services,and reduce the non value-added activities such as infrastructure as much as possible.Strengthening the participation of all employees is the focus of strategic cost driver control,strengthening the control of strategic cost drivers,improving the allocation of resources,and improving the awareness of strategic cost management.
