Research On Working Capital Management Of A Company From The Supply Chain Perspective

Working capital likes the blood of enterprises and it is the basic element to keep business.The cases of capital chain fracture or bankruptcy which are caused by inefficiency turnover of working capital are not rare.The management of working capital is essential in the enterprise.But its importance has not yet be widely recognized.The management of working capital is also concentrated in the control of accounts receivable and inventory by majority of enterprises?they only pay attention to the control of financial management.This thesis holds that the study of working capital can be extended to business perspective,that is,from the entires process of purchase,production,sale to be concerned with the circulation of working capital,to explore how to speed up cash flow and the level of capital occupancy through improving channel relationships and production methods in the course of business and develop the potential of capital by integration of financial management and business management.As an application-type paper,it is divided into five parts.The first part introduces research background,purpose and domestic and foreign theories.Then it introduces the research contents?methods and innovations.The second part introduces two theories,working capital management theory based on the factors and supply chain perspective.And compare the two theories.In the third part,the thesis use A company as an example,apply theory of working capital management based on supply chain perspective to reveal the status about working capital management.The fourth part,the thesis analyze the reasons for the problems about working capital management by comparing with the industry and the comparable listed company.The fifth part,for A company's working capital issues,the thesis put forward to countermeasures,combined with the specific situation.This thesis combines channel management with working capital management,seeking to establish new concept which is different from the traditionally financial concept of working capital management.It wants to promote the development of theory and methods about working capital management.In this thesis,the working capital of A company is classified into three aspects:procurement,production and marketing.In this way,working capital is not only closely to the operation of business processes,but also pay attention to the coordination of external relations.Strengthen the control and management of working capital from the inside to the outside.The thesis also provides reference on improvement of working capital management to medium-sized and small enterprises in similar industry.
