The Yangtze River economic belt crosses the east,central,west three regions of China covering two municipalities and nine provinces.The gross population and gross economic products are all exceed 40 percent of the whole country.The strategic orientation of Yangtze River economic belt is to accelerate the three largest shipping centers construction of Shanghai,Wuhan and Chongqing and to promote the exploitation of the upper and middle hinterland of the Yangtze River relying on three urban agglomerations.Since the development strategy of the Yangtze River economic belt is orientated as the national strategy,the cities along the Yangtze River are experiencing fast economic development and factor mobility is accelerated.The effect of innovation driving and supply-side structural reforms is shown gradually.In order to make the most use of "Golden Water Channel" of the Yangtze River and construct the high-quality multimodal transportation corridor,it is necessary to study the multimodal transportation organization problem of the Yangtze River economic belt from the supply-side perspective,so that efficient and economic comprehensive foreign trade transportation service for export-oriented economy of the Yangtze River economic belt can be provided.The paper first analyzed the current status of foreign trade transportation of the Yangtze River economic belt.The present organization form of the foreign trade transportation relying on the Yangtze River was studied and the existing problems and challenges of the present transport organization were proposed in the paper.Next,the super transportation network consisting of sea transportation,land transportation,inland water transportation and transshipment systems was built corresponding to the navigation capacity of different Yangtze River Channels,development planning of ports along the Yangtze River and transshipment capacity of the Yangshan port.Then,we construct the foreign trade transport organization optimization model based on the OD matrix of foreign trade volume.The path of each OD pair is optimized with the objective of minimize the total transportation cost.After that,the waterway,road and railway construction scheme,the setting plan of the dry ports and hub ports,and the transshipping schemes of different OD pairs in Shanghai are studied simultaneously based on the characteristics of cargo flow and flow direction.Finally,based on the above results,we propose the measures to construct the comprehensive foreign trade transportation network along the Yangtze River economic belt and to implement the combined transport of foreign trade containers by sea,road and rail,as well as the construction of policy system of the comprehensive foreign trade transportation.
