Research On The Evaluation For Technical Ability Of Software Project Group

Software products are produced directly by the software project groups.Now some software organizations are suffering poor technology ability,which often leads to poor product quality and barriers on development.For improving those groups' technology abilities and helping them to overcome their barriers,a set of evaluation methods are essential,which can practically define the level of technology ability.International standards like CMM,CMMI,ISO are widely recognized by software industry at present,but there are some difficulties in implement.Those evaluation systems take the enterprise as the appraisal goal,but not take the software project group as the appraisal goal.To get over those difficulties,it is necessary to research a method of evaluation,which is operability,low-cost and catering the needs of Chinese software organizations.Based on the demands of improving software project groups' technology abilities and core competitiveness,this thesis set up an evaluation method of the technology ability from the viewpoint of software project group.The method based on GQ(I)M absorbs the characteristics of the CMM,CMMI,ISO,containing a system of indexes,which consists of 3 first level indexes,9 second level indexes and 27 third levels indexes.Then,some indexes will be further separated in several different data and attached by a method for collecting data.In this thesis,the evaluation method is practically combined with a software project of a project group.The evaluation method has evaluated the software project and provided evaluation result.After the analysis of evaluation result,some improving advices based on the deficiencies of the technology ability of the project group has been put forward.As verification,the evaluation result of the evaluation method of the technology ability of software project is effective,which can precisely reflect the level of technology ability of software organization.This method has the abilities to play a guiding role for software organizations to improve their technology abilities.
