Research On Company VP Inventory Management Current Status & Improvement Solution

The Inventory Management is considered as a vital part on enterprise management.It not only influents on enterprise capital turnover immediately,but also plays very important role to meet customer's service needs.Along with marketing economy continuously development,the inventory management contained much more meanings and various functionality.It wins broad attentions not only from the theorists,but also the business community.The main task of Inventory management is to improve system's service level maximally,and meanwhile to reduce the inventory total cost for enterprise,all of these is aim to strengthen enterprise's competitiveness in market.This thesis is to elaborate basic principle of inventory management,focusing on inventory definition,inventory type,the inventory function as well as the concept of inventory management.Thesis discussed about the ABC classification,the Economical Order Quantity model as well as the Material Rudiments Planning(MRP)method and so on.The thesis takes VP Company as a research object.After several round of survey and study about VP Company's current inventory management situation,pointed out several problems in VP Company inventory management,such as management responsibility is not clear,the method on inventory control is too empiricism,low level information technology system,obstacles on management communication,unreasonable safety inventory,low rate on inventory cycling etc.Based on those mentioned problems,the thesis also raise up the serial solutions,such as optimization the organization structure,restructuring the logistics process,set up reasonable IT Management System,strengthen ABC classification(including to decide key raw material using economical order batch legal system order batch and so on),as well as draw up raw material demand plan according to the MRP principle.
