With the Chinese economy entering a new normal after the global financial crisis in 2008,all kinds of industries in our country are faced with the bottleneck of the development. As a basic and pillar industry in our country, manufacturing industry has long been characterized by high input and high energy consumption The issue of low output is particularly prominent at this time, which actually reflects the shortcomings in the technical and efficiency aspects of the manufacturing industry as a whole. The increase of total factor productivity refers to the increase of output caused by the non-physical investment after the inputs of production factors are put in place, reflecting the improvements in technology, efficiency and organizational management in the production process. In our critical period of transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry and the proposal of "Made in China 2025",efforts to increase total factor productivity will bring about the all-round development of China’s manufacturing industry. At the same time, the transport infrastructure that the manufacturing industry relies on has enjoyed a huge stock and scale since the extensive construction of our country at the end of the 20th century.Under the new economic normal, the value of transport infrastructure in the economic operation of our country should not be measured by the old thinking of investment.Instead,we should actually grasp its role in the cross-regional resource allocation and pay attention to its passing space The Spillover Effect on Industries in Different Regions. For the manufacturing industry,by accurately grasping the externalities of the transportation infrastructure,it will be possible to realize the innovation of the manufacturing production technology and the complementary advantages of the industries in different regions, thus bringing about an overall improvement in the total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry,Optimize the industrial structure of manufacturing industry and deepen the results of supply-side structural reform. Therefore, this article intends to systematically prove the spillover effect of traffic infrastructure and its impact on the total factor productivity of manufacturing industry in our country from both theoretical and empirical points of view. After combing the literature, this paper argues that the predecessors after years of research, has greatly enriched the relevant theory and measurement methods. However, for the moment, there still exist some research loopholes and deficiencies, such as the confusion of concepts, the lack of application of theoretical models and the limitations of research perspectives and objects. In theory, the impact of transport infrastructure on manufacturing technology is a gradual process, with both macro-level and micro-level mechanisms. After a comprehensive study on the mechanism of the spillover of transport infrastructure, this paper finds that apart from the market size effect caused by the deepening of the geographical network of transportation infrastructure, the various other aspects of economic agglomeration caused by this will produce quite different Externality, and the mutual offset between these externalities, will eventually have a total effect. Therefore, this also gives the paper an opportunity to study the spillover effect of space technology caused by economic agglomeration through the use of different theoretical methods and innovations.Although there are many theories that emphasize the spillover of technology or innovation brought about by economic agglomeration of transportation infrastructure, they often can only be superficially described by words. This phenomenon can’t give a more intuitive impression. In recent years, the new economic geography, which is constantly emerging, places great emphasis on the distribution of interests of industries in different regions due to changes in transportation costs. It also emphasizes the spatial and dynamic migration of economic activities. Therefore, through the innovative improvement and equilibrium re-derivation of its core model "center-periphery" model(CP model),this paper obtains the spatial aggregation brought by traffic infrastructure in the general mathematical relation to the general individual Changes in productivity in enterprises make people more intuitive and in-depth understanding of the economic mechanism. In a word, through theoretical analysis, model expansion and numerical simulation, this paper comprehensively and deeply expounds the mechanism of traffic infrastructure relying on its network to generate spillover effects. This is a new theoretical perspective to deepen the traffic infrastructure in the spillover effect of space research, but also expanded the theoretical model of the new economic geography in the application of relevant theories. After that,in the empirical part, this article first of all the variables of the construction and description of statistics. After using all the samples to compare the regional distribution of the average TFP of the transportation infrastructure and manufacturing industry, this paper argues that based on the current situation of the differentiation of transportation infrastructure, the productivity in the manufacturing industry in the eastern and central-Has shown a "center-periphery"relationship,validated the conclusions drawn from the previous mathematical model.Subsequently, this paper uses the static spatial panel data from 2004 to 2013 to conduct the measurement test.Empirical evidence shows that whether the sample is national, regional or by industry or by time, the empirical regression results show that The direct spillover effect on the transport infrastructure in the region or the spillover effects of the transport infrastructure in the adjacent areas and their spillover effect will eventually help to increase the TFP of the local manufacturing industry and the spillover effect of the region Less than the spillover effect in the neighboring areas. Finally, there is an endogenous problem because manufacturing production may interact with transport infrastructure. At the same time, the total factor productivity of manufacturing in prefecture-level cities is averaged by the micro-data.Because of the existence of these two problems,in order to test the reliability of the econometric results, this paper conducted a number of robustness tests. In the case of replacing the explanatory variables and using the first-order lag of the dependent variable as the tool variable, the regression results obtained after using the spatial Dubbin model, the generalized moment estimation and the two-stage least squares method to test the robustness can all be proved The traffic infrastructure has positive regional spillover effect and spillover effect of adjacent space, which proves that the measurement results obtained in this paper are credible. At this point, this paper proves both the existence and the concrete impact mechanism of the traffic spillover effect on the spillover effect of total factor productivity in manufacturing both in theory and reality. After the conclusion of the full text, this paper puts forward some feasible suggestions on the development of manufacturing industry, transportation infrastructure and regional development of the country. At the end of this article,we also put forward the prospect of future research.
