With the continuous development of export-oriented economy,especially the”Belt and Road" strategy continues to advance,the trade among China and neighboring countries will show a rapid growth trend,which will bring larger freight demand scale for multimodal transport.As the most important port in Northeast China,the development of container multimodal transport in Dalian Port is facing important development opportunities.It should expand its volume of multimodal transport through the development of key freight market.To this end,this paper focuses on the volume forecasting of the Dalian Port container multimodal transport,the thesis will carry out as follows.First of all,this paper gives an the overview of container rail sea intermodal transportation system,an analysis of the concept,elements,and the functions and characteristics of container multimodal transport are carried out;Secondly,the development of the Dalian Port multimodal transport are analyzed,its current condition and competitive situation are analyzed to find out its advantages and disadvantages;Thirdly,the Dalian Port multimodal transport forecast is carried out based on the influence factors and related prediction methods of container multimodaltransport volume;Fourthly,the route of Dalian Port sea rail transport is conducted to search the core and supplemental route.Lastly,the measures and suggestions are put forward to improve the development of Dalian port container sea rail transport.Through this research,the advantages and challenges facing Dalian Port containermultimodal transport can be detected,which will make a prediction for the supply demand situation in the future.This may help the relevant departments to formulate the corresponding development plan.
