Study On Resource Integration Behaviors Of Entrepreneurship Novices Under The Logic Of Effectuation/Causation

With the development of national preferential policies for entrepreneurship,more and more entrepreneurs such as college students are pouring into the wave of entrepreneurship.Due to the lack of entrepreneurial experience and entrepreneurial resources accumulated previously,new entrepreneurial novices often need to integrate all kinds of resource to alleviate the dilemma of “resource constraints”.This makes resource integration behavior of entrepreneurial novices a valuable research topic.However,the existing research on behavior of resource integration only focuses on the resource integration behavior of mature enterprises,and pay less attention to resource integration behavior of new venture.The rationality research on resource integration behavior mainly focuses on the prediction logic of planned-oriented,less involved control logic of means-oriented.This paper analyzes resource integration behavior of entrepreneurial novices from two different decision logic of Effectuation/ Causation,which can make up for the lack of existing research.Specifically,This paper mainly studies the relationship between Effectuation/ Causation and entrepreneurial novices resource integration behavior,and the moderating effect of environmental uncertainty on the relationship between the Effectuation/ Causation and entrepreneurial novice resource integration behavior.It includes the following three aspects:(1)Conceptual research on the entrepreneurial novices resource integration behavior;(2)The effect of Effectuation/ Causation on entrepreneurial novices resource integration behavior;(3)The moderating effect of environmental uncertainty.Through empirical analysis of factor analysis,correlation analysis and multiple linear regression of 380 valid questionnaire,we find:(1)The entrepreneurial novice resource integration behavior including two dimensions of bricolage and bootstrapping;(2)Effectuation/ Causation have positive effects on entrepreneurial novices resource integration(including two dimensions of bricolage and bootstrapping);(3)Environmental uncertainty negatively moderated the relationship between Effectuation/ Causation and bricolage;environment uncertainty plays a positive moderating role between Effectuation/ Causation and bootstrapping.The paper not only contributes to the research of entrepreneurial resource integration and Effectuation/ Causation,but also has some guiding value for entrepreneurship practice:(1)Analyze the effect of Effectuation/ causation on entrepreneurial novice resource integration behavior,revealing the different mechanism of Effectuation/ Causation on entrepreneurial novice resource integration behavior.(2)Analyze moderating role of environmental uncertainty in the relationship between Effectuation/ Causation and the entrepreneurial novice resource integration behavior,and enrich the contextual research on the relationship between the Effectuation/ Causation and entrepreneurial novice resource integration behavior.(3)It is of practical significance for us to study entrepreneurial novices integrating entrepreneurial resources using different decision-making logic in different environments.
