Management Study Of Health Insurance Project Of A Insurance Company

Health insurance industry in China has been frequently brought to attention due to the rising needs of people.For recent years,national supports and encouragements have been carried out to promote the insurers to participate in the improvement of social security system.The commercial health insurance has been considered as an important part of providing the improvement for social benefit.Under the circumstance many companies have focused on the subject,meanwhile the development and operational management of the commercial health insurance project becomes a quest with both theoretical and practical values.Many countries have been practicing during generations and have experienced various changes.As different countries have their own environments,the structures and regulations for each country usually hold their own uniqueness.In China the industry is still new and the coverage rate is relevant low comparing to our population while the products are yet to be further developed.Comparing to the existing structures abroad,we are at the early stage of establishment.Within years,local consumers have become more aware of personal health care,and the pressure of meeting the requirements for medical services and elderly care continues to increase.With the rising needs,more companies turn to join the business and the competitions rise accordingly.Insurance is a kind of special business providing services that differ from common products.The health insurance has its own particularity even within the insurance industry,the local laws and certain regulations shall be followed in operation.For different types of insurers,the restrictions for operation management also differ accordingly.This paper intends to study the planning and management of health insurance project based on the research of A insurance company as example,using theories of project management combining with insurance operating principles to analyze the strategic meaning of the project and to investigate the issues during the development of business,then provide improvements and management plan.The evaluations have been made for further adjustment and project summary as to investigate the real case of developing and managing the health insurance project shall provide experience to assist the further practice for development of the industry.
