’One Belt One Road’(OBOR)is the Chinese government policy and approach towards globalization and international trade.Business incubators,as part of OBOR,boost trade and cooperation internationally.A number of studies focus on strategical and global value of OBOR campaign. However, limited number of researchers examine principles of trade in OBOR real-world projects. The research goal is to analyze how to manage projects within an international business incubator in OBOR environment. The research covered qualitative analysis of business case study of food import project(FIP)in Changsha International Business Incubator. The study investigated the correlation between following components:OBOR significance for international trade;Chinese incubator model;project management tools;project management software. The study determined the project scope, tracked and sequenced all FIP tasks by applying project management tools, namely WBS,responsibility matrix,Gantt chart, network diagram and critical path method. The overall project duration was shortened by 30 days vs.the estimated period. The research revealed project landmarks and identified techniques that can be further used for handling international trade projects. The present work is meaningful for OBOR practical application;it provided useful knowledge for both academics and practitioners who are interested in international trade projects management.Given the availability of project challenges,it was proposed to establish cultural business consulting platform within the business incubator to improve the execution of international trade projects. |
