Research On The Influence Of Anhui Province's Resources Agglomeration On The New Urbanization

With China's economic growth entering a new normal,the development of urbanization has gradually shifted from traditional quantity expansion to quality improvement,and the new urbanization has been taken more seriously.It is a priority for Anhui,a pilot province for national new comprehensive urbanization,to promote the new urbanization in an all-round way.Against the backdrop of “Central Rise”,a national strategy of development,the economic aggregate and growth rate of Anhui province,one of the six provinces in Central China,have registered steady increase.It is remarkable that in recent years,Anhui province,has redoubled its efforts to continuously implement the strategy of new urbanization,and to improve the system of the new type of urbanization.Accordingly,Anhui province has seen noticeable expansion of city scale,the formation of regional city center,and progressed urbanization.However,in comparison with developed provinces in East China,Anhui province still lags behind in terms of the degree and quality of urbanization.Facing problems such as low quality,extensive mode,low land use efficiency,resources waste and damage,the new type of urbanization has encountered obstacles.As one of the fundamental elements of economic development,resources exert a great influence on economic development and new urbanization.The flow and agglomeration of resources provide strong support and guarantee for economic development and new urbanization,and the rational and efficient use of resources serve as powerful driving force for promoting economic development and new urbanization.Based on the theory of elements flow and economy agglomeration,and referring to relative literature of resources agglomeration and new urbanization,the thesis analyzes the influence of resources agglomeration on new urbanization.Then,it probes into 16 cities in Anhui provinces from the year 2000 to 2015 to assess the urbanization degree in those cities by improved entropy method,and to explore the characteristics of the spatial and temporal evolution of new urbanization by drawing space subplot using software like Mapinfo and Geoda.The thesis comes to the conclusion that the urbanization degree in Anhui province increases year by year,but the spatial distribution is unbalanced,with the new urbanization degree in South Anhui higher than that in North Anhui.The thesis focuses on financial as well as scientific and technological resources,measures the degree of resources agglomeration in those said cities,and analyzes the effect of spatial radiation of resources agglomeration by Wilson Model.The author finds that the degree of resources agglomeration in Anhui province increases in general,but the regional difference is obvious.To be specific,Hefei,Wuhu,and Ma'anshan are finance-oriented cities,and Hefei,Wuhu,and Bengbu are science/technology-oriented cities,while cities in North Anhui enjoys low degree of resources agglomeration.At last,this thesis analyzes the influence of resources agglomeration in Anhui province on new urbanization by econometric model.The empirical results of time series data show that financial resources agglomeration has a positive role in promoting new urbanization,and the empirical results of panel data show that both financial agglomeration and scientific/technological agglomeration have remarkable and positive influence on new urbanization.The author employs control variable of economic development degree,non-agricultural structure of industries,and fixed asset investment,and finds that the above-mentioned three factors are beneficial to new urbanization.Based on the above studies,the author attempts to raise the following proposals.Develop a new type of urbanization with human-oriented,plan town layout in a reasonably,improve the construction of public service infrastructure;encourage the accumulation of financial and scientific/technological industries to upgrade industry structure,intensify the effect of industry agglomeration;facilitate regional cooperation and coordination to achieve overall urban and rural development.
