National Interests And The Construction Of AIIB

In this paper,the case analysis shows that different national interests decided by individual countries to make their different reaction for the AIIB.Asian infrastructure investment bank is an important part of China's one belt and one road strategy,in order to achieve this strategy China conducted a series of diplomatic mobilization and instructions since it put forward the proposal of AIIB,which also the external cause for other countries to respond.In the establishment phase,AIIB which built through negotiation and consultation set up the basic principles to balance different types of national interests very well,in another word that is an internal motivation that other countries eventually take part in this organization.The investment mechanism innovation of AIIB make up for the existing defects of similar institutions in the world,therefore it could ensure the other country's need for investment in infrastructure.This is the main cause why the AIIB would be able to start together with other countries' responses.But there are some countries reject to the proposal of AIIB,like the United States and Japan,they view it from the perspective of strategic competition.From the start this two countries already to take a stand against the proposal and urged other countries to exit from AIIB.The starting of the AIIB,opened up a new mode of national competition,since then,the competition of interests between China and other countries,it is not only the contest for a city or a land,will also be embodied in the mechanism of which is dominated by the respective competitor.
