| Employment is the key to self-sufficiency,self-fulfillment,and personal independence of adults with disabilities and it plays important role in people with disabilities’ life.In Mongolia,there is a high level of unemployment of people with disabilities and 18% of whole people with disabilities who above the age of 15,are employed.But only 21% of them has paid work.Most of these individuals do not work at the office,just work as bonesetter,masseur,cleaner etc.However people with disabilities really want to work with co-workers and to feel self-esteem and independence,but 69% of employer do not want to hire individuals with disabilities.Because of the negative attitude of employer and co-workers toward employees with disabilities.So,the main goal of the research is that improve an attitude of the employer toward people with disabilities and develop awareness of employer and manager toward assistive technology.According to many various literature reviews and other studies,if employees with disabilities use assistive technology in the workplace,it would be easier for both of organization and employees with disabilities.Because employees with disabilities work more productively,it would influence in the success of the organization.Therefore,there is a high demand to examine and analyze factors which influence in job performance of employees with disabilities such as organizational support(training,career development.and assistive technology)and job satisfaction.The researcher has defined 3 main hypothesis: first one is “There is significant positive relationship between organizational support and job satisfaction of employees with disabilities in the workplace”,second is “There is a significant positive relationship between job satisfaction and job performance of employees with disabilities”,and the last one is “There is a positive relationship between organizational support and job performance of employees with disabilities”.Software package SPSS Statistics has been used to analyze results of questionnaires given by 105 respondents who work in public sector,private Ltd,and nongovernmental organization.All of them belong to several nongovernmental organizations for people with disabilities in Ulan Bator,Mongolia.We have interpreted data using descriptive analysis,reliability analysis,factor analysis,ANOVA and T-test and correlation analyses.Based on research findings,we are able to conclude that for employees with disabilities,the organizational support level is no relatively high,job satisfaction level of employees with disabilities is neutral and job performance level is not high too.Also,most of the respondents are not provided by assistive technology in their workplace from the employer.So,it shows that in the workplace has a low level of knowledge of employers’ legal obligation which related to assistive technology,and employers and managers do not appreciate of its positive impact.Consequent to the review of the result of factor analysis,ANOVA and T-test variance and correlation it can be claimed that all three research hypothesis are verified.Based on results of research,we have proposed a number of recommendations how to develop awareness of employer toward assistive technology and supply assistive devices in the workplace in order to increase job satisfaction and job performance of employees with disabilities. |
