External mergers and acquisitions is an important way for enterprises to expand their business so that they can achieve rapid development.In recent years,with the development of science and technology,mergers and acquisitions has become a prominent phenomenon in China's economic development,the number of mergers and acquisitions also increased rapidly.Film and television industry as a new cultural industry,has also taken a rapid pace of development."13th Five-Year Plan" proposed "to promote the merger and reorganization of cultural and enterprises and to support the development of small and medium-sized micro-cultural enterprises.We need to accelerate the development of new industries,such as mobile multimedia,digital publishing,animation and so on.With the development of the opening-door policy in culture and the continuous improvement of marketization of the media,the development process of the film and television media industry has been promoted,and at the same time,the development of the media industry has been injected a continuous stream of power.This kind of environment plays an important role in the M&A of film and television area.As one of the film and television media industries which regards foreign mergers and acquisitions as one element of its development,G media companies become the leader in film and television area by merging L cultural company to achieve its own expansion and inflation.Therefore,this article uses the case study method which regards M&A activities of G media as the research object.Under the guidance of scholars at home and abroad and taking the theory of M&A and effect,First of all,it introduced the development of the media industry in recent years and the basic case of corporate mergers and acquisitions.Then it analyzed the reasons of the M&A activity based on the enterprise's development strategies and the influence of the series of M&A by the event research method and the financial index method from the four aspects,and make a research and summary,Finally,the article revealed potential revelation and suggestions through its impact analysis for the media industry.According to the impact of the G media company mergers and acquisitions analysis,first of all,G media company mergers and acquisitions activity caused a good market reaction.At the same time,it also caused the short-term effect in the market;Secondly,L cultural company expanded market share through mergers and acquisitions,and it also improved thestrategic layout,except,it has made the strategic motivation effect;Thirdly,G media company opened the animation market and made a great increase in revenue synergies through mergers and acquisitions L cultural company.Fourthly,to some extent,the merger and acquisition activities make the company's asset management level improved.Fifthly,mergers and acquisitions case makes G media companies realized the value added of the enterprise.In other words,it achieved good business performance.In addition,the target company also completed the performance commitments,that represented mergers and acquisitions so well.In conclusion,G media company mergers and acquisitions activities fitted in with the company's strategic development,and promoted the development of the company,its successful experience is of great significance for many media companies.
