Study On Operation And Management Problems Of The Xi’an Xianyang International Airport Expressway

Analysis and research on operation and management of expressway has long been hot topic of transporation management.Expressway in China develops late.China realized its zero breakthroughs in expressway construction until 1988.With development of Chinese expressway industry,at present,total mileage of Chinese highway has reached 123,000 kilometers,ranked first in the world.However,with growth of highway mileage,problems about operation and management of expressway have gradually stood out.How to improve quality of highway maintenance;how to deal with the great mobility of expressway administrators;how to cope with the escape of road toll;how to improve quality of fee collectors and other problems are placed in front of industrial administrators.Therefore,how to effectively solve those problems occurring in operation and management of expressway and improve operation and management level of highway by reasonably utilizing its characteristics of rapid transit so as to promote fast development of Chinese economy has become the focus of research in the field of transportation.This paper takes the Xi’an Xianyang International Airport Expressway as research object.First of all,by introducing development history of expressway at home and abroad as well as operational,management framework of Chinese highway,it lays sound foundation for further analyzing operation and management status of the Xi’an Xianyang International Airport Expressway.Next,it analyzes operation and management data of the Xi’an Xianyang International Airport Expressway during the “12th Five-Year Plan” and summarizes the successful experience,analyzes existing problems and the causes.Furthermore,it learns from operational and management experience of foreign expressway,and compares advantages and disadvantages of expressway operation and management in different countries so as to get inspirations from it.At last,by making use of the learned knowledge,I have put forward suggestion to improve operation and management of the Xi’an Xianyang International Airport Expressway from four aspects: improving laws and regulations,deepening system reform,optimizing comprehensive treatment,and strengthening construction of management team.This paper aims at finding out future development directions of Chinese expressway in operation and management through study on operation and management problems of the Xi’an Xianyang International Airport Expressway,which will contribute to strengthening service standard,improving transit quality,increasing satisfaction degree of drivers and passengers towards expressway,enlarging economic benefit of expressway and accelerating quicker and better development of Chinese economy.
