| Urban metabolism is an important and frontier research area in industrial ecology.As China's rapid urbanization process,regional economy has increasingly become a nested development system.As a city expands its scale,its metabolism process is complicated.Energy metabolism plays a great role in regional socio-economic development.It is the key to explore its complexity.This paper analyzed the energy metabolism of Shandong Province by ecological network analysis.The overall energy metabolism network of 2000,2005,2010 and 2014 of Shandong Province was firstly constructed.Then flow analysis and utility analysis indicators were conducted to investigate its structure and functions.Symbiotic index of energy metabolism system in Shandong province is 0.633 in 2000,0.870 in 2005,0.962 in 2010 and 0.9 in 2014.Results show that the energy metabolism network of Shandong Province is dominated rather by competition and control relationships than by symbiotic relationship.The pathways between different components are more diverse,and the number of metabolic pathways and connectivity constantly improve over time,while the network becomes a highly competitive and predatory metabolic symbiont.For Shandong's energy metabolism system,its metabolic process and economic development and upgrade of industrial structure has an important relevance.At the same time,thermal power,energy production,transportation,coal washing and living consumption are the key factors of energy system.This suggests that the metabolic process in Shandong province is restricted to resource endowment in the system.Results also show that Jinan and Qingdao have enormous radiation impetus effect with other cities.The functional relationship has more symbiotic connectivities but less competitive ones.In the meanwhile,Zaozhuang,Dongying and Jining take up the main control position in the overall inter-city energy network.These energy resource-based cities have a significant impact on the rest by their own energy endowment. |
