A Study On The Pattern Of Endowment Insurance For Migrant Workers

In the early 80 s,Chinese people have experienced the deepening of economic system reform and the rapid development of Urbanization.They are then referred to as 'migrant workers'.As the main force in the economic and social development,migrant workers have contributed greatly to the country and the society.Despite of our country's improvement of endowment insurance system,migrant workers often maintain a negative attitude to it.Generally low insured rate and increasing cancellation rate result in various difficulties in the endowment insurance implementation process.On the basis of relative scholars' research,this thesis thoroughly analyzed different aspects as well as the advantage and disadvantages of four main models of endowment insurance related to migrant workers,namely the urban endowment insurance,the imitated ?urban endowment insurance,the comprehensive endowment insurance,and the new rural endowment insurance.Taking the example study of migrant workers' endowment insurance in Beijing,this thesis reviewed the initial stage,the growth stage,and the development stage of the migrant workers' endowments insurance in Beijing.Then the thesis explained the characteristics and current situation of migrant workers in this city and studied the difficulties and the relative causes in the process of Beijing migrant worker's endowment insurance model.The suggestions to improve migrant worker's endowment insurance model.That is,base on the principle of fairness,the classification of security options,and flexible transfer principle,the supervision of personal accounts should be strengthened,the endowment insurance fund should be supervised at the national level,the effective mechanism of endowment insurance transfer should be established,the level of protection of the minimum payment base should be improved,and the security design of migrant workers should be properly classified.
