High Performance Work System research there have been many,However, mostly researches concentrate in the positive influence brought by the high performance work systems, and less attention to the negative impact of high performance work systems, especially about high performance work systems impacts on the health of employees.Nowadays, rapid economic development and the increasingly fierce competition makes the general level of health of employees decreased, besides, organizations and administrators are careless of employees‘ health level. So,in this study,we took High Performance Work System as independent variable and employees‘ health as dependent variable,to try to explore the relationship between them.Furthermore,we also analyzed the mediate effect of work overload and the moderate effect of job control. This paper‘s theoretical basis was based on the job demand-control theory.we constructed hypotheses and the model by reading lots of literatures. We analyzed the data of questionnaire to test the reliability and validity of each scale and our hypotheses by SPSS19.0 ? Amose17.0 and HLM6.08.Finally,according to the results of data analysis,we discussed the conclusions, and put forward some management suggestions, and pointed out the limitations and the research prospects. This study collected data from the survey of 388 employees in 28 companies for analysis. The main achievement of this paper:1.High Performance Work System was significantly negative related to employees‘ health.2.High Performance Work System was significantly positive related to work overload.3.Work overload partly mediated the relationship between High Performance Work System and employees‘ health.4.Job control didn‘t have significant negative regulation effect between High Performance Work System and work overload. Many researchers found that the high performance work system can improve the employee's job performance, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, job happiness, etc. However, the results of this study show that the high performance work system of employee health effects, and overworked partial mediation effect in it.Therefore,we believe that the high performance work systems have its positive effect in the process of implementation, but also due to the excessive implementation and lead to the employees overload phenomenon, thus affecting the health of employees.
