As the“world's factory”of manufacturing,China's situation of environmental pollution is severe.Surprisingly,many enterprises producing serious pollution were exposed to be suppliers of brand-name products enterprises.These pollution accidents have aroused great public concern and have urged people to think deeply about the environmental management of enterprises from the perspective of the environmental management of brand-name products enterprises to suppliers: On the one hand,consumers often attribute the responsibility of the suppliers' bad environmental behaviors to brand-name products enterprises who in the face of stakeholders must bear the environmental responsibility of suppliers;On the other hand,brand-name products enterprises play a core role in the supply chain operations,and have an important impact on the environmental behaviors choices of upstream suppliers.The research of suppliers' pollutants discharge reduction behaviors under the environmental management of brand-name products enterprises is facing challenges of complexity because of the interaction,heterogeneity and adaptivity of suppliers,brand-name products enterprises,consumers and other participants,thus more difficult to be studied with traditional methods.The social science method of computational experiment developed from the multi-agent method has an advantage in the research of complex system,and has been successfully applied by many domestic and overseas scholars in many fields including environmental problems.Based on this,this study uses the method of computational experiment to explore evolution rule of suppliers' pollutants discharge reduction behaviors under the environmental management of brand-name products enterprises,aiming to explore effective strategies and key influencing factors of the environmental management of brand-name products enterprises to suppliers,and provide new ideas and solutions to practical problems in motivating enterprises' pollutants discharge reduction.At first,this paper analyzes the motives of environmental management of brand-name products enterprises to suppliers.Then,it studies practices of environmental management of brand-name products enterprises at home and abroad,and sums up the "procurement allocation mechanism" and "environmental subsidy mechanism" two management strategies.And next,it analyzes the influencing mechanism of brand-name products enterprises on the suppliers' pollutants discharge reduction behaviors.Finally,the computational experiment models of the research of suppliers' pollutants discharge reduction behaviors under the procurement allocation mechanism and the environmental subsidy mechanism are constructed respectively.Based on the Repast Simphony platform,the research uses object-oriented programming technology to generate the participants and their interactive behaviors,and gives the experimental parameters to explore the evolution law of suppliers' pollutants discharge reduction behaviors and participants' earnings..This study draws the following conclusions:(1)The increasing product demand caused by the improvement of consumers' environmental awareness drives brand-name products enterprises to carry out environmental management to suppliers."Procurement allocation mechanism" and "environmental subsidy mechanism" are two scientific and effective strategies of environmental management of brand-name products enterprises to suppliers.(2)In the case of suppliers' quotation,brand-name products enterprises can apply the procurement allocation mechanism to achieve the supplier's environmental management simply and effectively;When brand-name products enterprises grasp the pricing power,the procurement allocation mechanism simply applied cannot make the system optimal,and they need to offer environmental subsidies to suppliers.(3)With an increase of the importance of environmental factors attached on the procurement allocation of brand-name products,the amount of pollutants discharge reduction of the stablized suppliers after the evolution increases,but the earnings of the brand-name products enterprises increase first and then decrease.The “win-win effect”that the supplier promote pollutants discharge reduction and enterprises obtain higher income would be achieved as long as brand-name products companies grasp the incentive efforts appropriately.Compared with static procurement allocation mechanism,brand-name products enterprises apply dynamic procurement allocation mechanism to obtain higher returns.(4)When brand-name products enterprises grasp the pricing power of supply chain,they can firstly make full use of the procurement allocation mechanism,then the competition of purchasing quantity among suppliers forces suppliers to carry out pollutants discharge reduction;When suppliers' amount of pollutants discharge reduction tends to be stable,enterprises offer them pollutants discharge reduction subsidies,set a pollutants discharge reduction target slightly higher than the suppliers' current average amount of pollutants discharge reduction,and make full use of limited rational characteristics of supplier decision-making in order to obtain higher returns.(5)Consumers' purchasing is the fundamental impetus to motivate suppliers to carry out pollutants discharge reduction.Brand-name products enterprises cannot view strategies of environmental management of upstream suppliers as the only means,but also start from the needs of downstream consumers,strengthen the publicity of environmental protection,and strive to expand the scale of market demand.
