Core employees have a deciding influence on the survival and development of a firm. Therefore, investigation and research of the incentive system of core employees not only benefit the short-term improvement regarding gaining profit via a better inventive system, but also help understand employees' needs, enhance the quality of service, and achieve stable and healthy development of the firm in the long run.This thesis is a case study of Bank of China Liaoning Branch(LNBOC), aiming at exploring the viewpoints of core managerial employees on the incentive system in their firm, the root causes and therefore looking for the best practice. Combining both qualitative and quantitative methods, this thesis plans to conduct a research via interviews and questionnaires to help find out the problems of current incentive. The research findings indicate that the most important incentives of core managerial employees of LNBOC include salary/welfare, firm future, promotion, fare performance appraisal and interpersonal relations. However, salary/welfare, promotion and fare performance appraisal are with lowest satisfaction. Based on the findings, this thesis proposes solutions to improve LNBOC's incentive system optimization, including incentives of training, promotion, performance appraisal, salary/welfare and enterprise culture-building. Implementing measures of the incentive system optimization is also proposed in the end.
