The scheduling and controlling of the project are important things to do during the project implementation. They are also key issue to improve enterprise core competitiveness.Base on the development of new project A99 of BAIC off-road Vehicle R&D as the research object, using the critical chain technology to implement a detailed scheduling and controlling research to build realistic plan and control system according to the actual situation of the project, and provide the scientific basis and guarantee for the smooth operation of this project. The first thing that this dissertation introduces is the basic situation, organization, development process, project scope and requirements of the new project A99.Secondly, it elaborates the basis and principles of the preparation of the project scheduling and uses the method of WBS to set up the breakdown structure for the new project A99.Then, we calculated the critical path by clarifying a clear division responsibilities of various departments, estimating the time of the project and mapping project network with schedule network analysis. Later on, we optimize the scheduling of the project with critical chain method and consider the resource constrains that impact on the scheduling of the project simultaneously for satisfying actual need of mass-production. Additionally, it also proposes the control method and the practical application of A99 new development project based on critical chain method. Finally, the smooth operation of the project will be laid a solid foundation by strengthening the inspection and monitoring implementation of the plan, establishing the progress of safeguard in field of personal, quality, equipment and technology.
