In recent years,with the rapid development of national economy and the rapid popularization of Internet,e-commerce continues to rise.Express industry as the main support of e-commerce is developing rapidly,and the express business volume is increasing rapidly.Since March 2011,Chinese express business volume has been rising at an average increase of more than 50%for 46 consecutive months.In 2015,Chinese express business volume amounted to 20 billion 600 million,ranking first in the world.However,Chinese express industry started late,and the threshold is low.Distribution center automation degree is not high,and the sorting efficiency is low.The increase of express business volume also makes logistics problems become increasingly prominent,such as violence sorting,warehouse explosion,and the last mile distribution.If all these problems aren't solved timely,the current measures of express enterprise will be difficult to adapt to the further growth of the express business volume,and cannot meet the requirements of the service quality,which is getting higher and higher.The problems existing in the domestic express industry from the perspective of information technology and automation is analyzed,and possible ways to improve the efficiency of express industry is researched in this paper.Two parts are included in this paper,namely,the post code's improvement and the application in the operation process of joint distribution center.As a technical support for automated sorting,post code's function of simplifying and clearing sorting operation has not been fully played.At first,the existing problems in Chinese post code is analyzed.the experience of post code improvement in developed countries is used for reference.AHP,comprehensive evaluation method and system clustering method are used together to classify the cities above the prefecture level,and the reasonable range of terminal delivery area in each city class is calculated.Then,the number of bits needed to add on post code is determined according to the range of terminal delivery area,and put a plan to improve Chinese post code is put forward.The improved post code includes the delivery block information,supporting the automatic sorting to the delivery block.Then,combined urban joint distribution pattern with express industry,the plan of urban common distribution system is proposed,and the current operation process of express distribution center is analyzed.Combined with the intensive characteristics of joint distribution and based on the improved post code,the operation process of express distribution center is optimized respectively from three aspects of waybill information electronization,sorting operations automation and transfer operation simplification.This optimization can provide reference for the construction and development of the express distribution center.
