The Relationship Between Transnational Corporation And Host Government

As Non-state Actors,the Transnational Corporation has an increasing influence over countries.They are not only the important carrier of national image but also the behavior carrier of home country public diplomacy.The relationship management with host governments is an important component part of Transnational Corporation public diplomacy.In conclusion,there is competing and cooperating game relationship between Transnational Corporations and host governments.Transnational Corporations create economic values for host governments and to some degree influence the process of government decision making.On the other hand,host governments restrict Transnational Corporations with policy and regulations.Chinese Transnational Corporations are faced with International Trade Barriers,passive opinion and the lack of positive image.Corporations need to explore techniques and methods of dealing with host countries constantly in order to make the company goals consist with government policies and gradually establish an effective system serving for international development of the corporations.Besides,foreign Transnational Corporations have the advantage over most of Chinese electronic companies,which can barely survive in the Occident.However,the sales of Huawei in overseas market has increased tremendously.The fact that Huawei stands out in overseas market is closely related to its ability of handling the relationship with host governments.This essay starts with studying the definition,characteristics and incentive of the relationship between Transnational Corporations and host governments,and analyzes the methods and significance of Transnational Corporations' treatment with host governments.This essay intends to provide some experience and lessons for Chinese Transnational Corporations to handle a good relationship with host governments and maintain Chinese national image.
