The Impact On The Income Of Migrant Population Of Human Capital And Social Capital

With the development of social economy and the acceleration of urbanization,the number of immigrant population has increased rapidly since the reform of market.This huge group,under the influence of economic incentives,immigrate from rural to urban area,but the current immigrant population is generally faced with the problem of low income.Therefore,in order to study the influencing factors of the immigrant population’s income,the paper probes into the mechanism of human capital and social capital on the income of floating population.This paper selects the RUMIC2009 data China household income survey in the immigrant population,analyzing the situation of human capital,social capital and income,and in the part of empirical research,human capital and social capital are selected as the core variables to analyze the affecting factors of immigrant population income.First,this paper establish the models of human capital based on Mincer model,respectively from the education,health and training of three elements of human capital and on the whole of human capital.Results show that education,health and training and the whole human capital can effectively improve income of immigrant population,and education is the most significant contribution on the improvement of income.After adding into the comprehensive index of social capital,this paper show that social capital has a significant role in promoting the immigrant population income,and on further analysis of the interaction of human capital and social capital,the result indicate that it has an alternative relationship to income of immigrant population.Based on the above conclusions,the following suggestions are put forward to increase the income of immigrant population: deepening the reform of the household registration system to eliminate the barriers of identity;improving the employment system of labor market to eliminate employment discrimination;increasing education investment in rural area to improve the educational level of immigrant population;strengthening the training and education of floating population service management to improve professional skills;playing the role of social mechanism to increase the local social capital of immigrant population.
