Research On Trade Facilitation Between Laos And China

Laos,as a landlocked developing country in the asean free trade area,has abundant natural resources to provide a steady stream of primary products for foreign markets and to import technology-intensive industrial products that can not be produced in china.China as the largest economy in developing countries,economic growth depends on the export of products,many production activities required raw materials,intermediate goods and sophisticated technology depends on imports.With the establishment of China-Asean Free Trade Area,Laos officially added in 2015,Laos not only with the Southeast Asian countries and trade with China more and more frequent,the two sides established a friendly economic and trade cooperation.International trade and economic cooperation is not only reflected in the trade between countries,trade structure,trade status,but also reflects the degree of trade between countries to facilitate the degree of trade facilitation is conducive to lower transaction costs,the increase in the total amount of transactions,the improvement of transaction efficiency.Therefore,on the basis of the theory of trade facilitation,the author uses literature analysis,qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to compare the trade convenience of Laos and China.this paper first clarifies the definition of trade facilitation,and then summarizes the relevant research results of previous studies on trade facilitation from the aspects of model research,evaluation system research,economic benefit research and research on Laos trade facilitation.And then the qualitative analysis of Laos and China's trade facilitation,the analysis mainly involves Laos and China's international trade profile,logistics and transport situation,customs situation,trade facilitation in the main problems faced by several aspects of the analysis that although China customs construction,port construction has invested and achieved success,but China's trade facilitation is mainly facing the problem of port construction disorders,policy transparency is low,the customs environment is complex,lack of high-tech talent and other issues,and Laos trade facilitation construction the main problem is that infrastructure construction is backward,e-commerce is still in the bud,government management efficiency is low,corruption is high.then,according to Wilson's trade facilitation evaluation system,the quantitative evaluation method is used to establish the evaluation index system of trade facilitation,and the reasonable indicators are used to quantitatively analyze the trade facilitation level of Laos and China.The results show that China's trade facilitation the overall level is higher than that of Laos,and the performance of the environmental and customs environment in Lao's trade facilitation level is better than its performance in port construction and e-commerce,while China's trade facilitation is most effective in port efficiency it is good.Finally,this paper discusses the problems in the construction of trade facilitation in Laos and puts forward some reasonable suggestions for improvement.
