Study On The Replenishment Strategy Of Cigarette Supply Chain Based On Stock-to-Sales Ratio

With the participation in the mentor project″Chongqing Tobacco Commercial and Industrial Enterprises Supply Chain logistics construction project of China tobacco″and″Chongqing Tobacco Commercial enterprise Supply Chain logistics construction project of China tobacco″on the enterprise field investigation,the author found that the tobacco industry is implementing a stock-to-sales ratio replenishment model.But the specific approach to experience-based,very primitive and there can be optimized.This article is based on the background of the problem,in order to solve practical problems of enterprise and write.First of all,based on the review of the literatures on vendor managed inventory,this paper discovers that the study results of vendor managed inventory theory and model are quite mature.However,the model to consider the dynamic changes in demand less,and the cigarette is a kind of special goods which is obviously affected by seasonal change.This change makes it impossible for tobacco companies to control inventory precisely,and can only cope with changes in demand through higher inventories,so the cost of inventory is high.Therefore,this article combines the practical problems of enterprise to study and provides reference and consult for other enterprises within the industry.Then,based on the classical inventory control model,the author improved the multi-period storage model.By combining vendor managed inventory,safety stock,and demand forecasting theory with inventory control models,the author gets stock-to-sales ratio replenishment model which is based on the changes of seasonal demand to seasonal adjust stock-to-sales model parameters.Meanwhile,this article introduces the VMI system construction process of Chongqing tobacco supply chain.In addition,on the basis of the model to calculate the replenishment parameters,the author develops different replenishment strategies of single cigarette and multi cigarette with the actual situation of tobacco company,in order to avoid the inventory explosion phenomenon caused by the demand for a sudden concentration.Finally,this article collects the cigarette sales data of the branch of Chongqing tobacco company from January 2011 to January 2016,and analyzes the overall change trend of annual sales and the cyclical change law of annual sales.By combining with the analysis of the law to predict,the author respectively calculates the total cost of inventory replenishment in the same quarter before and after the replenishmentparameters seasonal adjusted.Through the comparative analysis,with doing replenishment after the same quarter replenishment parameters were seasonal adjusted,the total cost of inventory replenishment is lower.
