The problem of emotional labor and job burnout in the service industry has been being studied. Many scholars have explored the relationship between emotional labor and job burnout, but the research results are not the same. With the progress of science and technology, especially the rapid development of electronic information technology, the public ways of communication has undergone enormous changes.Nowadays,we can get in touch with others from anytime, anywhere by email, phone call, sending messages, etc. As a result, people may need to work in a non-workplace,and it is clear that such change will affect the relationship between emotional work and job burnout. In this study, the emotional labor is taken as the pointcut. The influencing mechanism of the emotional labor of the service industry employees to the job burnout as well as the regulatory role of the psychological detachment to the relationship of the two are discussed through the empirical analysis, which provides scientific advice for business management while enriches the related theoretical research. In this study, the emotional labor is divided into two dimensions:surface acting and deep acting, and the job burnout is divided into three dimensions:emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and low personal accomplishment. The questionnaires is carried out by taking the bank outlets and real estate intermediary employees in Jiangsu Province and other places as the sample.A total of 169 valid questionnaires were collected, and the sample data were processed by correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis, etc. The results show that there are significant differences between the surface acting, the deep acting and the job burnout both in terms of age and length of service. There is a significant positive relationship between surface acting and job burnout. In contrast, deep acting plays a significant negative impact on job burnout.Psychological detachment plays a regulatory role between emotional labor and job burnout.Psychological detachment can cushion the impact on job burnout imposed by surface acting, while strengthening the negative relationship between deep acting and job burnout. If the employee's psychological detachment is low,it indicates that employees are difficult to free themselves from work during the non-working hours. And work-related thinking will continue to consume resources,so when employees return to work for the surface acting, they have to pay more effort to deal with work need and consume more resources to achieve recovery and reduce the sense of pressure, which in turn will make employees exhausted and impose more pressure on them.In such case, the loss of emotional resources will accelerate. On the contrary,if their psychological detachment level is high, then the resources consumed by the staff will be better recovered. In the deep acting, they will suffer less pressure and have more positive emotional experience, therefore, the loss of emotional resources will be relatively reduced. Therefore,in order to reduce the level of job burnout and its negative impact, the organization and manager can carry out management practice in two aspects.Firstly, pay attention to employee emotional management, encourage employees to use deep acting in the service process;Secondly, make reasonable work arrangements and actively provide guidance and intervention for the employees to help them be less bound by work.
