Boundary-spanning Search,Absorptive Capacity And The Enhancing Of The Enterprise Technolopgical Innovation Ability

In the context of open innovation,more and more enterprises tend to search for new and heterogeneous knowledge and combine them creatively,so as to enhance the innovation ability and form a competitive advantage.Research used to see the transition process between boundary-spanning search and outputs of innovation as a 'black box'.Through studying the case of Shengquan Group,we try to analyze the manufacturing enterprises choose the boundary-spanning search strategy during each development stages.This study also analyzes the intermediate mechanism of boundary-spanning search promoting the upgrading of technological innovation,and explores how enterprises can enhance the technological innovation with the interaction between boundary-spanning search and absorptive capacity.Through analyzing the development process of the SQ Group systematically,we get some founding.? During the process of search strategy selection,the enterprise's absorptive ability has played an important role.The continuous evolution of the absorptive capacity requires companies to constantly adjust the search strategy of external knowledge to match.?Enterprise's boundary-spanning search activities can enhance the absorptive capacity significantly,and the absorptive capacity of the previous stage will affect search strategy choice in the next stage.With the enhancing of the absorptive capacity,the breadth of boundary-spanning search expands continually,the sources of knowledge are enriched constantly and the types and attributes of knowledge are enriched gradually.At the same time,the knowledge searched and absorbed by enterprises transmit from explicit to tacit,and the search strategy changed from passive to active.?
