The Spatial Disparity And Influencing Factors Of Total Factor Productivity Of Chinses Cities

In the late 1950 s,Robert M.Solow officially for the first time puts forward the concept of total factor productivity,and the measure,namely "solow residual value".Then caused the wide attention of scholars,more and more scholars begin to pay close attention to total factor productivity and the total factor productivity is calculated.Chinese scholars on the study of total factor productivity begin with "east Asian miracle" view of Paul R.Krugman,krugman believes in east Asia in the 1960 s to the rapid economic growth mainly comes from the increase in the number of input elements,is unsustainable.According to this view,the domestic scholars using the parameters and non-parametric method is an object with regional and departmental calculates the total factor productivity of our country,and its influence factors in the empirical analysis.Since the reform and open policy,our country's economy has experienced a rapid growth phase,the average annual growth rate of close to 10%,however,great achievements obtained in China's economy at the same time,the quality of economic development in our country,such as regional economic gap,such problems as excessive use is particularly prominent.China's vast territory,between different regions of factor endowment,economic structure,etc.According to the region,the eastern region economy grows more rapidly compared to the Midwest,and absolute gap is enlarged.And from the perspective of the division of coastal and inland,coastal areas with 9.5% of the country's area,produces 53.8% of the country's gross domestic product(GDP).Today,at the same time in theaccelerated urbanization,city gathering place for all kinds of elements,is the core area of economic growth.The constant development of the city is the concentrated reflection of human civilization forward.At present,the city as an independent economy,and its influences in the development of economy.To this,this paper applies DEA-Malquist model to calculate the total factor productivity of 285 cities in China from 2004 to 2014,Then according to the research of the scholars,in view of the related influence factors of total factor productivity has carried on the empirical analysis,according to the calculated result and the empirical analysis results put forward the corresponding policy recommendations.Paper main research content is as follows:First,this paper introduces the total factor productivity of related theories and literature review.Mainly includes the relevant theories of total factor productivity and the development of domestic and foreign scholars on the concept of total factor productivity,measuring method,and the influence factors of measuring object.Second,this paper introduces the measurement of total factor productivity,Mainly introduced the solow residual method,stochastic frontier analysis and data envelopment analysis,after comparing of these methods,select the DEA-Malquist model calculates the total factor productivity of Chinese city.Third,from the Angle of the spatial distribution of China's urban total factor productivity and its decomposition index are analyzed.Mainly includes the cities overall analysis,four regions,economic analysis and the analysis of the coastal border cities.The results showed that: from 2004 to 2014,the urban total factor productivity index fell 1.3% as a whole.Then classify cities to analyze its spatial difference,foundeastern coastal areas of high levels of total factor productivity index and economic benefit to the improvement of total factor productivity of the inner cities.Coastal cities significantly higher total factor productivity.inFourth,to the correlation analysis to the influence factors of total factor productivity?First of all,on the basis of predecessors' research chose the R&D input,the industrial structure,infrastructure,the urban scale,the urban density,degree of government intervention,and other factors,and then carries on the theoretical analysis,Next,by measuring moran index measuring points out that the total factor productivity has spatial correlation in our country,finally,based on the space of panel data econometric model,investigates the space factors under the influence of the factors influencing the total factor productivity.Found that urban size,industrial structure on the total factor productivity has significant positive influence.Fifth,the analysis on the basis of above conclusion,puts forward relevant policy Suggestions.Mainly includes the regional harmonious development,strengthening the communication link between the city,increasing R&D input,control of government intervention,etc.
