Research On The Development Model Of Modern Urban Agriculture In Wanzhou District Of Chongqing City

Being as the second biggest economic body in the world,accompanied by the rapid social development as well as the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization,China has faced many environmental questions such as the serious damage caused to eco-system,the air pollution,the shortage of natural resources,the intensified frequency of natural disasters,etc.The fact pushes people to realize the importance of a balanced eco-system and a sustainable development to the existence of human beings.On the way to explore new path for the development,one pattern of agriculture assembling social,economic and ecological functions came into the eyes of public which has been titled as Modern Urbane Agriculture.Since the 80’ s of last century,China has devoted to developing the modern urbane agriculture which was the new form of agriculture based on a certain level of social economic development.On the basis of the modern cities’ development,it scatters inside the city and around the area,depending on the advanced science,technologies as well as the modern fundamental facilities,to satisfy citizens’ basic needs for living and entertainment.This new agricultural form is an important composition of urbane economic development and construction of eco-system.Wanzhou district,as not only the main agricultural production area but also the important part of ecological conservation area in northeast of Chongqing,it’ s oblige to develop the urbane modern agriculture.Starting from the current situation of modern urbane agriculture of Wanzhou,the thesis is focused on its exploration of development pattern.Firstly,it looks back the history of modern urbane agriculture aboard and domestic,searches the relative theories and explores the main patterns of this new agricultural form.Secondly,it investigates comprehensively the current situation of modern urbane agriculture in Wanzhou to discover the main problems existed in the practice,by applying the management tools such SWOT which analyzes both the internal advantages&disadvantages and external threats&opportunities,and learning form the successful experience aboard.The investigation will be focused on the practical search of the existed agricultural&pleasuring facilities,the agricultural high-tech zone and the pioneers of the domain.The last but not the least,it is to discover how to solve the problems discovered and which mode is appropriate for the development of modern urbane agriculture in Wanzhou,with expectation of supplying a theoretical references for the similar areas as Wanzhou.
