| After China became a member of the World Trade Organization(WTO),China’s iron and steel exports had a rapid development and brought enormous trade gains.As a kind of "two high and one excess"(high pollution,high energy consumption,excess capacity)industry,China’s iron and steel exports contributed to the pollution of the environment.So the comprehensive and objective evaluation of China’s iron and steel exports is needed,and whether China’s steel export trade is beneficial to the development of China’s economic and environment should be known.In this paper,we studied economic benefits and environmental impact of China’s iron and steel exports respectively during 1994-2015.Firstly,we analyzed the development and the current situation of China’s iron and steel exports,and disscussed the economic and environmental influence factors of China’s steel export trade.Then we measured the economic benefits index and environmental impact index of China’s iron and steel exports each year by building the evaluation index system as a vertical analysis.After that,we studied dynamic relationships between the economic benefits index and environmental impact index and its influencing factors by vector autoregressive(VAR)model,including granger causality test,impulse response and variance decomposition.Finally,we analyzed China’s steel export trade economic and environmental impact comprehensively and put forward the policy suggestions.The research results show that China’s iron and steel export trade economic benefit index is on the rise and environmental impact index showed a trend of ups and downs during 1994-2015.China’s iron and steel export trade scale can promote economic benefits for a long time.China’s iron and steel export trade scale,the structure of export trade and export trade competitiveness has a positive role to the promotion of the economic benefit of short-term;China’s iron and steel export trade economic and environmental impact of correlation coefficient is positive in a long term,but negative in a short term.Environmental pollution trend has been curbed.Finally we put forward policy Suggestions: firmly develop iron and steel export trade;Adhere to the green development of China’s iron and steel industry;Promote the development of China’s iron and steel export trade innovation. |
