Research Of The Urban Human Settlements Of Liaoning Province Based On The Entropy Method

With China’s urbanization into the accelerated stage,China’s urban construction by leaps and bounds.However,the fast growing cities are confronted with a series of challenges on human settlements.Such as: residential tension,traffic congestion,lack of green space,densely populated and so on.The construction and improvement of the human settlements is the eternal theme of our human beings.To explore to build a sustainable development of pleasant living environment has become the focus of attention of the world’s governments,international agencies,academic groups and the broad masses.On the basis of the relevant researches,the thesis combined with the actual situations of Liaoning Province constructs the comprehensive measure system of urban human settlements in Liaoning province.The index system contains 5 subsystems which consists of climate and environmental factors,living environment conditions,economic development level,social development situations,environmental stress degree and 31 specific evaluation indicators.Based on the data of the year of 2000,2005,2010 and 2014,this paper uses the entropy method to measure the living environment of 14 cities in Liaoning Province.Based on the measurement results,this paper analyzes the living environment subsystem and the comprehensive level of four time sections in Liaoning cities.Through the ArcGIS platform,the thesis links the administrative divisions of 14 cities in Liaoning Province with the comprehensive scores of the urban human settlements,and reveals the spatial pattern of the urban human settlements in Liaoning Province for four time periods.Based on the comprehensive score of 14 cities in Liaoning Province,the levels of urban human settlements in Liaoning Province are divided into five types: excellent living environment;good living environment;medium living environment;poor living environment;poorer living environment.Using the quadrant method,this paper analyzes the relationship between urban human settlements and economic development in Liaoning Province.The relationship between human settlements and economic development in Liaoning Province is mostly in the first and third quadrant areas,which belong to the high urban living environment-high economic development level and low urban living environment-low economic development level.The low urban living environment-low economic development level accounted for a larger proportion.Based on the above,the paper draws the following conclusions:the development of urban human settlements in Liaoning Province is not balanced and there is a remarkable gap between the area with high level of human settlements and the poor area.The overall level of urban living environment is not high.The improvement of urban human settlements level is not obvious to the majority cities of Liaoning Province.To some extent,each city has a "urban disease" problem.What is more,some industrial cities areseriously polluted and face a more severe ecological environment.Due to the weak economic strength,some cities are lack of essential material security to build their urban living environments.In the end,aiming at the problems existing in the urban human settlements environment in Liaoning Province,the concrete countermeasures and suggestions are put forward:Strengthening the top design of urban human settlements;Follow the five principles of human settlements construction;Improve the economic strength and promote the improvement of the overall level of urban living environment;Control the scale of the city reasonably and plan the city scientificly.Increase pollution prevention and control efforts and pay more attention to urban ecological environment construction.
