Study On Derivative Ventures' Market Entry Strategy Based On The Entrepreneurial Knowledge

With more and more start-ups,entrepreneurship has become the assistor of economic development and technological progress.Every year there are a lot of new ventures,but few can survive and grow up due to the lack of resources,weak adaptive capacity or uncertain factors.Compared to general new ventures,derivative ventures have a high success rate and have been the main model in high-tech industry.However,the derivative ventures do not own the same result,which is worth researching.Therefore,the research focus on the high-tech industry' turnover and entrepreneurship,especially the derivative ventures.Based on the perspective of knowledge,we analysis the connotation and classification of entrepreneurial knowledge and Market entry strategy of the derivative ventures,as well as explore the interaction and matching characteristics between them.We choose four derivative ventures as sample using the multiple case study method to explore each venture's market entry strategy and four ventures' similarity and difference on decision of market entry strategy.The result show that:entrepreneurial knowledge affects the derivative ventures' Market entry strategy,the entrepreneur with both technological and marketing entrepreneurial knowledge tend to choose the market entry strategy with technological innovation and complementary market;that with technology-oriented knowledge tend to choose the market entry strategy with technological innovation but similar market;that with market-oriented knowledge tend to choose the market entry strategy with technological imitation and complementary market;that lack of technological and marketing entrepreneurial knowledge tend to choose the market entry strategy with technological imitation and similar market.The above research results help to understand the reasons for the differences in the performance of the derived entrepreneurial enterprises,and enrich the theory of entrepreneurship.At the same time,it is beneficial for the entrepreneur to carry on the objective evaluation of their own,enhance their ability to use the initial entrepreneurial knowledge,guide entrepreneurs to carry out more effective entrepreneurial activities.Moreover,this research is helpful to provide suggestion for the relevant policy makers.
