A Study On The Development Strategy Of Tibet's Foreign Trade

As a border province,Tibet has a long history of foreign trade.The foreign trade of Tibet has also played an important role in the history of Tibet's economic development,which enhances the good neighbor relationship between neighboring countries and China.The foreign trade of Tibet has been greatly developed with the support of the party,the state and the people of our country since the reform and opening up.In recent years,Economic development of Tibet has received increasing attention.Tibet has not only intensified the opening up of the whole region,but also promoted the development of productive forces and raised the living standard of farmers and herdsmen since Tibet began to develop its foreign trade.The foreign trade of Tibet has begun to enter the standardization stage through the ups and downs of the 1990 s.It is now in a critical period of development.It is imminent to analyze laws and characteristics of the foreign trade development of Tibet on the basis of summing up the history of the development of foreign trade in Tibet to generate the scientific and rational foreign trade development strategy.In recent years,with the opening of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway and the resumption of opening of the Yia Dong port,as well as the possibility of construction of open channel to South Asia.Relying on the railway and the opening of major ports to vigorously develop Tibet's foreign trade has become a reality.For a long time,the foreign trade of Tibet obviously depends on its economic development,but the role of foreign trade in supporting Tibet's economic growth has not been fully exploited yet.The lagging development of foreign trade has become an important bottleneck that hinders the great-leap-forward development of Tibet's economy.In the first chapter of this article,we conclude domestic and foreign research about Tibet's foreign trade on the basis of understanding the concept of foreign trade,draw on the experience of the foreign trade development from foreign developed countries combined with the characteristics of foreign trade of Tibet and introduce research results of foreign trade literature of Tibet emphatically.In the second chapter,we analyze the present situation of Tibet's foreign trade based on the related theory and customs data.At first,we elaborate the port,scale,import and export commodity structure,speed and benefit of Tibet's foreign trade development.Then,we find current problems of the development of foreign trade in Tibet and analyze them.In the fourth chapter,we mainly analyze the advantages and disadvantages,opportunities and challenges of Tibet's foreign trade through SWOT analysis method,and put forward the development strategy suitable for the actual situation of Tibet,according to the special preferential policies,Tibetan Buddhism,etc.In the fifth chapter,we mainly elaborate the development pattern of Tibet's foreign trade.Firstly,we analyze the future prospects of the import and export and elaborate the model for the development of Tibet's foreign trade in order to construct the model suitable for the development of Tibet in line with the expected goals put forward in the 2017 work report of the Tibet government.In view of the above research,this paper puts forward the corresponding suggestions and countermeasures for the healthy and sustainable development of Tibet's foreign trade.
