Nuclear safety is the most concerned issue in nuclear power projects, and nuclear safety is directly associated with nuclear power equipments. As the leading part of the nuclear power project, engineering design is throughout the project, whether the equipment design drawings,or technical clarification during the equipment procurement,or design change and non-conformance request in the process of equipment manufacturing and installation, all these equipment related work is associated with design institute. The effective management and control of equipment in nuclear power project is not only one of the internal management of the design institute, but also can effectively serve the nuclear safety culture. In this paper, equipment management work of one nuclear engineering design institute is the research object, combined with its task demands under the new situation of nuclear power development, study the elements of equipment management, analyze the characteristics of equipment management and key business process, find the problems in equipment management and suggest the improvement measures.Based on the understanding of business process, the process analysis and optimization of E-P management,NCR management and RFI&EDCR are carried out,at the same time the information platform is constructed.Through the research of this paper, the main problems of equipment management in this design institute are solved.Through this study, the implementation of the nuclear power equipment management business is improved, the process of separation and lack of coordination during the traditional equipment management of nuclear power projects is broken, the average processing efficiency of various design management has been significantly elevated.
