Design,Implementation And Evaluation Of "The Employment Assistance Of Impoverished College Students" Program

With the deep popularizing of higher education,the number of college graduates is increasing year by year.The employment problem of college students,especially the impoverished college students,becomes more and more dominant,which has raised wide public attention.There are plenty of factors which contribute to the influence elements of poor college students' employment,and to explore the method to increase the employment ability of those students is the key to solve their employment problems.As a major which focus on helping people and solving social problems,social work is based on the professional concept of “help people to help themselves”,and systematical analyzing perspective,as well as the comprehensive theories and methods,these factors has fundamental meaning to the enhance of impoverished college students' employment ability.The author,as an intern in X social work organization,had the opportunity to participate in the process of design,implement and evaluation of “the employment assistance of impoverished college students in G university” program.Based on the mixed methodology,this paper used questionnaire method and interviewing method to conduct a deep analysis on the employment demand and basic family living condition of poor college students in G university.It was guided by ecological systematic theory and group dynamics,and aimed at improving poor college students' employment ability.In the meantime,this paper used group work procedure to design eight specific group activities which intervenes into service objects' self-cognition,basic employment skill,mental regulation,experience exchanges and practice.Finally,the evaluation is carried out from five perspectives,which includes input,act,output,result and influence on the basis of the overseas logical evaluation model.In the result of evaluation process,the author uses service satisfaction table and the employment ability self-check chart to process a test on group members.The testing result shows that this program will help enhance the poor college students' employment ability,it accomplished the original object,but it still has some deficiencies to be improved.The author explores the design and implement of the program to the employment assistance of the impoverished college students,and finds a new way to improve these students' employment ability in the mode of “university enterprise social work organization”,and also introduce the overseas logical evaluation model to make the evaluation on this program.Finally,the reflection has been down to the program operation of employment assistance of the poor college students and the application of logical evaluation model,moreover,proposals and suggestion has been made to the program operation,impoverished college students' employment problems and the social service program.
