Research On The Development Strategy Of Yunnan Private Equity Investment Fund Management Company

In recent years, with the rapid development of China's economy, the residents'income per capita and wealth are increasing gradually. Since the demand of asset management is growing,the asset management industry in China is developing rapidly. In 2013, after the new Fund Act announced that private funds would be brought under its supervision, the Private Fund Filing System has come into effect since the February of 2014.Since then, private funds bade farewell to the savage growth and entered a period of normative development. In the year of 2016,the historical outburst of private funds was witnessed. It was the first time that private funds exceeded public funds in terms of the subscribed scale. At present, due to the short history of the private fund industry,it is still necessary to conduct researches regarding the development strategies of the private fund industry. Moreover,there's no such research aiming at the private securities investment fund industry in Yunnan Province. With a late start,relatively small scale and rapid change of asset management industry, the private fund management companies in Yunnan Province are facing both opportunities and challenges at the same time. The difficulty and pressure they are facing are increasing, too. How to stand out from the herd in the fierce competition and make a scientific development strategy are the top priorities for the small and medium-sized private fund management companies in Yunnan Province.Based on the current situation of Yunnan's private fund industry, with ZY Investment Company as the main body of case study, this thesis has been divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduces this research's background, significance,literature review, and methodology. The second chapter explains and identifies the concept and characteristics of the private securities investment fund. The third chapter analyzes the external competitive environment of the private fund management companies in detail with strategic management tools such as PEST analysis,Porter's"five competitive forces model". It offers an explicit positioning for ZY Investment Company. The fourth chapter analyzes the internal environment of ZY Investment Company, including: its background, management and operation ability, investment and research ability, corporate brand and corporate culture. The SWOT analysis method has been applied to analyze this company's strengths, weaknesses, possible opportunities and threats. Furthermore, the SWOT matrix has also been used to make current strategic choices for this company. Through learning from the development track and strategic planning of some outstanding enterprises in this industry, the fifth chapter makes specific functional strategies for ZY Investment Company, which lays a solid foundation for the implementation of overall strategies. The sixth chapter is a summary of this research and provides further research recommendations.In the duration of this research, the researcher made a strategic plan for the case enterprise - ZY Investment Company by referring to a large amount of materials and literatures, and combining relevant practice and theory. The researcher hopes that the result of this research is not only to provide a guidance for the further development of-ZY Investment Company, but also to become the reference of strategy making for Yunnan private securities investment management companies, which could improve the development of the whole industry.
