A Study Of Chengdu Railway Port On Promoting The Economic Development Of Sichuan Under The Background Of "Belt And Road Initiative"

It is well known that the port is an important foundation for the development of export-oriented economy in the country and region.Open ports are beneficial as they develop foreign trade processing,attract foreign investment,and promote employment of strong supporting roles.The interactive development of port and regional economy has become a new growth point of regional industrial economic development.With the development of the national strategy known as "The Belt and Road" the inland areas are now relying on opening up the development of export-oriented economy ports to provide new opportunities.Therefore,inland ports-especially railway ports-are important in order to integrate into "The Belt and Road" strategy to support regional economic development.This paper uses the Chengdu railway port and Sichuan economic development as the research subject.Through the research of the port and the regional economic development of the domestic and foreign research and related literature,the paper describes the system development relationship between port and regional economy.It then analyzes the history and current situation of Chengdu railway port and Sichuan economy,with the relevant data to analyze the relationship between railway port and Sichuan economy,probes into the internal relationship between Chengdu railway port and the economic development of Sichuan.Through the SWOT analysis Chengdu railway port's development Superiority and Weaknesses,opportunities and threats for comprehensive analysis of development strategy for railway port to promote economic development in Sichuan.According to the qualitative analysis and the quantitative analysis above combined with the port function and the characteristics of regional economic development,as well as focusing on the improvement of port development base,expanding the port logistics channel construction,improving the port cooperation mechanism and the development of the port industry: port economy is shown to strengthen cross sectoral cooperation and coordination and create a good policy environment which is then put forward to promote targeted development of port and regional economic integration counter measures and suggestions.
