Effects Of Entrepreneurial Teams Goal Orientation On Team Creativity

In the context of innovation and entrepreneurship,the core team of start-up enterprises should be improve their creativity to adapt to the complex and ever-changing competitive environment.The team's creativity is not only influenced by the team goal orientation through team learning behavior,but also by the coordination mechanisms within the team.In the high context culture,a team learning goal will affect the team learning behavior,thus changing the level of team creativity;in the other hand,and may mobilize team members unconscious and imperceptible self adjustment process,namely implicit coordination,and then improve team creativity.Therefore,it is necessary to discuss does the team goal orientation of the entrepreneurial team relate to team creativity,and if,whether implicit coordination played a mediator role in the relationship between team goal orientation and team creativity.This research is based on the I-P-O(input-process-output)of entrepreneurial team theory model.Select team goal orientation as input,implicit coordination as process and team creativity as output.This study used the literature review,case studies and the questionnaire survey.We have interviewed the leaders of three new ventures,the team of Caitu Jifen Wallet,Heletong and Toing.We explored the theoretical feasibility over case studies and pave the way for the theory construction and key proposition.On the basis of this,we distributed questionnaires to the students' entrepreneurship team of Zhejiang Province,who participated the "Challenge Cup".The valid data were collected from 100 teams.Then,using SPSS and AMOS statistical software to analysis the 356 valid data,we investigated the level of team goal orientation,implicit coordination and team creativity and their internal mechanism.The main results of this study are as follows.Firstly,a entrepreneurial team learning goal and team performance approach goal were positively related to team creativity,whereas a entrepreneurial team performance avoidance goal was negatively related to team creativity.Secondly,a entrepreneurial team learning goal and team performance approach goal were positively related to implicit coordination.Thirdly,implicit coordination played a mediator role in the relationship between team learning goal(team performance approach goal)and team creativity.Finally,based on the results,we put forward suggestions to improve the team creativity mainly from two perspectives,one is to improve the level of team learning goal,and the other is to deepen the level of implicit coordination.
